This class is for just that, a class for new parents to do something for themselves and learn a new skill, all with a safe space for baby to come along. This is perfect for pre-crawling babies with toys and a spot to pop them down for a roll and a play. The space has level access and plenty of room for parking prams. 

This class is for knitters of all skill activities. Learn from scratch or just hang out and get guidance on more advanced projects. You are welcome to bring your own yarn and needles or purchase some from the mini mobile yarn shop.

Are you a beginner knitter or are you looking for help with a project?

Did you know that cables are much easier than they look? Learn to make these twisted patterns in one evening. In the class we will learn to work some basic cable patterns from both written and charted patterns, working with a pattern for a cabled headband. These criss crossing braided textured stitches are made with just knit and purl stitches, making it perfect for fairly beginner knitters. After learning how to work cables in the class, students will be able to put cables onto any other kind of knitting project, from hats to mittens, scarves to sweaters!

Learn to knit with Natalie Selles. This is the course that will teach you everything you will need to know to make your very own snood or scarf. The basics of knitting are very simple and easy to master, you'll be knitting away in no time. 
In the first week we will learn to cast on and the knit stitch. In the second week we will learn to purl stitch, how to combine them together to make different textures and how to finish your snood or scarf. These are the foundation skills needed for knitting and will set you up for and will set you up with the skills you will need for the rest of your new hobby!

Having failed to learn to knit before I was feeling a bit nervous about the 2-week crash course I'd signed up for. Natalie was the perfect person to put my mind at ease and show me the ropes - unflappable, patient, and funny to boot. A class size of 6 meant we could all progress at our own pace whilst being sure to end the course with something to show from it (for me a rather snazzy long scarf).

In this one session class we will learn the basics of colourwork knitting, using traditional Fair Isle peerie motifs. We will cover how to knit colourwork with one and two handed methods, tension tips and tricks and how to read charts and patterns. There is a bonus Norwegian Rose pattern included.

Fair Isle Ornaments

Granny squares are a cornerstone of crochet, first recorded in the 1890s, and synonymous with the 1970s. These classic squares are most commonly found in blankets but can be used for bags, pillows and even clothing. A change in size, shape and colour combination can give give a modern look to an under appreciated technique. 

In this one day class we will cover the basics of crochet and master the granny square. We will work on chain stitch, double crochet stitch, slip stitch and joining the squares together. 

This class is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with some experience.
